Good Thing Nothing Much Happened in the Last Two Months . . .

Well, as is typical of us, our blog update is extremely overdue...and we have lots to report. Starting back in November, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family and some friends of ours. These friends included Mark's long time friend and BYU roommate Nick, and our friends the Ayers, who have a daughter who is Juliette's best little friend. We got some fun pictures of Mayumi and Juliette enjoying their Thanksgiving feast together (and sharing each others food).

Mark's Interjection: Brittany was a little stressed out by the holiday festivities, and accidentally took percocet instead of ibuprofen for her headache. Woops. (P.S. She gave me permission to put this on the blog . . . and no, she's not posing, it's just a terrible picture).

Mark finished up the first half of his 2nd year of school, culminating in a fantastic 3 week break from school at Christmas. Two of those weeks we spent in Oregon, and had a wonderful time with all of Mark's family. All of his siblings and their families came, which made for a very full house (thanks Jim and Debbie!) but we had a blast. When all the Lisles get together, it is always bound to result in good times (at least in our opinion).

We were also able to see my grandmother, and my Aunt Marion and Uncle Richard who live relatively close to where we were (and were willing to drive down and see us). We had a wonderful visit with them as well.

Juliette particularly enjoyed "Carousel Park" ( I don't know if that is actually the technical name of the park), but it has a big carousel that she loved and a big outside park that she also loved.

Another memorable trip was to Gilbert House, the Salem children's museum.

Juliette's personal favorite part was the bubble room.

After returning home we have been able to spend some great time with my family here, especially with my brother here for the holidays. We had a kind of 2nd Christmas upon our return, with lots of delicious food and more gift exchanges. So we have been very blessed this holiday season to have spent time with each of our families. It really doesn't get any better than that! So thank you to all of our family and friends who enrich our lives, love us and support us. We love the time we get to spend with you!

P.S. This doesn't include a trip to the Shenandoah, two trips to DC, a trip to the Temple to see the lights, or pictures of the amazing pies we made for Thanksgiving, but at some point you have to cut yourself off. It's the penalty for being a bad blog updater.
